Hey, I’m Carissa!

I started my personal brand in 2014, I was 28.
(It was the best thing I ever did)!

I owned a hair and beauty business for 8 years before that, but because I am a fast-paced, too many ideas, high-achiever type entrepreneur... I reached a point where I got BORED of it and wanted to start something NEW.

I realised that I loved watching and learning from other people who were running their own businesses…

I loved reading their stories, watching their videos,
and learning what they had done and how they had
done it… it was inspirational and educational.

I decided I wanted to do what they were doing too.
I wanted to BE the inspiration for someone else.
Even though, I didn’t think I was anything special...

The 3 personal brands who inspired me most and who I wanted to become like (in the beginning)... were Carrie Green, Marie Forleo & Gabrielle Bernstein.

At first, I didn’t even know how these people made money (or even what they were selling).

I eventually figured out that most of them either owned a business, or were selling a book or an online course… or held events or got paid to speak because people wanted to come and see them!

To start with, I started my personal brand just for fun, as a bit of a side hustle.

I created new social media pages and accounts
using MY NAME instead of my business name…

And I started making videos, writing blogs, giving tips,
and sharing things I was doing, how I did certain things
in my business, & talking a bit about the type of person I am.

And I started growing an audience who was
interested and wanted to know MORE!

People started to know me as the owner of my
business, and they also started asking me to teach them
how to do certain things that I had done…

So I wrote my first book, and started my first online
course, and in the first year I made over $100k!

I kept creating videos, and writing posts, and growing
my audience on social media, and within 4 years I was
making over $1,000,000 per year with my personal brand!

My personal brand has allowed me to buy my dream house
and dream car, to employ my husband, and to work from
home around my young children

I’m constantly being asked to be interviewed on
podcasts & radio shows, I’ve been paid to speak at many different events both in Australia and the USA…

And I’ve attracted so many ideal clients and amazing
like-minded people into my life, just by sharing myself
and my passions online...

Interviews & Media

"Carissa Hill, an International speaker and business coach, achieved a phenomenal level of success thanks to her sharp delegation skills.

In her book, I Like Money: The Secrets to Actually Making Money with Facebook, Hill shares how she used Facebook to expand her business and then set up processes that allowed her to run everything without manually doing the work.

However, Hill understands that there are some roles best handled by the business owner. She recommends business leaders maintain direct control of the following three jobs"

"For personal brands and service based businesses, digital marketing expert Carissa Hill recommends using slightly enhanced, yet 'real' images that connect with your target audience.

These can work "a lot more successfully than using stock photos.

For example, a hair salon promoting their hair services will have a lot better success showing off a great photo of their own work in their own salon, as opposed to a stock photo they purchased online."

Have you ever thought about using a Facebook GROUP for your business? If not, you should definitely consider it.

It's pretty obvious that page engagement is at an all time low, due to Facebook's algorithm changes.

But the thing about groups is, you shouldn't use them primarily to promote or grow your business. You should use them to bring likeminded people together and help them.

This is one of my favourite ever podcast interviews I have ever done, and I'd love for you to have a listen, as we get into some of the much deeper stuff than just "marketing strategy"...
